Photographer based in the Highlands of Scotland
Last Summer I was lucky enough to head back to one of my favourite wedding venues; The Byre at Inchyra. I love this place, it has everything!
Ashley & Jamie first got in touch after I had photographed one of their friends weddings up in the Highlands. I knew instantly that we would hit it off and within a few minutes of the morning preps it felt like we had all been friends for years. There’s no better feeling than having that kind of connection with a couple and then being able to photograph their wedding.
This wedding was so much fun to be a part of and an absolute joy to photograph. Little shout out to Lisa at Floral Menagerie for her incredible floral work and to the amazing team at The Byre. Dream wedding!View full post »
Lucy & Andrew tied the knot at the wonderful Carngie Courthouse in Dornoch before have a big old party at Clashmore Hall. What a joy this day was to photograph. The nicest bunch of folk you could wish to meet and so much love and happiness it made me feel warm inside. A massive shout out to the ridiculously talented Wild Gorse Studio and all their amazing work and also to the wonderful Carnegie Courthouse for putting on such an amazing day. I’ll remember this wedding forever. One of my absolute favourites.View full post »
I love my job. I’m incredibly fortunate to be able to do something I love and actually make a living out of it. Leonie & Kev’s Highland Elopement was one of my favourite days ever and I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be a part of it.
Leonie got in touch earlier this year and I could barely contain my excitement as she told me about their plans. I joined Leonie & Kev at the wonderful Killiehuntly to photograph them getting ready before we took a short drive to the beautiful Uath Lochans, just South of Aviemore. We took a gentle walk through the woodland up to a spot which overlooked the Lochans and where Leonie & Kev planned to tie the knot. Neil Lynch (lovely man) conducted an incredibly emotional ceremony while the couple read their own heartfelt vows. Afterwards, we took a stroll through the woods to take some photographs before reuniting with their adorable dogs Rue and Cooper.

Last year I got to spend the day with two of the sweetest souls I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It was also one of my first times working with the insanely talented Wild Gorse which was such a treat! Bev & Colin tied the knot at the wonderful Bogbain Farm and the day was just perfect. Here is a little highlight of the day went.View full post »
Katie & Tom made the long journey up North to Achnagairn House late last year to see in the New Year in style. The guys had originally planned to go for a swim in Loch Ness and have some breakfast by the shore but sadly the weather was pretty awful so plans were changed to a swift dip in the nearby Beauly Firth. I felt frozen just watching! Back at Achnagairn, everyone warmed up before getting ready for a day of celebrating. Friends and loved ones joined them to witness their wedding at the beautiful Saint Mary’s Church in Eskadale before heading back to Achnagairn for some full on celebrations well into the small hours.
I was delighted to be a part of such a wonderful day and what was the perfect way to finish the year.View full post »
Last year I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph the wedding of Ryan & Sarah near the beautiful town of Barga in Tuscany. This was my first trip to Italy and I was blown away by its rugged beauty.
I first met Ryan & Sarah at a wedding I shot a couple of years ago and when I heard about their plans to tie the knot in Tuscany, I was super keen to be involved! The day couldn’t have been more perfect. Ryan & Sarah wanted to do a first look before the ceremony and to escape the pre wedding nerves by taking a trip over to the medieval town of Barga for some photographs. We spent a short time wandering the quiet streets up towards the Cathedral which had the most amazing view out over the town and surrounding mountains. Afterwards, we drove back up the steep, winding road for the wedding ceremony in the beautiful grounds of I Cedri, followed by an incredible Italian spread and lots of wine!
The whole day was extremely moving and I was blown away by how welcomed IView full post »
Recently, I joined the lovely Natalie and Matt for a few hours out in the wilderness of Kintail for a couple shoot. These folks currently live in Paris and are the talented couple behind Living in Clips (check it out). We had a really great time talking and sharing ideas and just generally enjoying being out in the beautiful Scottish Highlands.View full post »
Lucy & Rory recently got married at the lovely Duffus Kirk and then carried on their celebrations at nearby Gordonstoun where they both attended as students. Their wedding was an absolute joy to be a part of and I was so happy with how the day turned out. The Autumnal colours were so beautiful and everything about their wedding was perfect. Thanks for having me folks. You were brilliant.View full post »
Helen & Keith. Two of the sweetest souls I have the pleasure of knowing. These two tied the knot at the wonderful Strahpeffer Pavilion back in September and it was pretty awesome! Helen’s mother Laura, who is a humanist celebrant, carried out what was an incredibly beautiful and moving ceremony outside in the beautiful autumnal light. Definitely the first time I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing a mother conduct the wedding ceremony of her daughter!
Spending the day with all these lovely folks was definitely a highlight of my year. Being able to witness so much love and happiness is what makes me feel so fortunate to do what I do. Thanks for having me guys. You were amazing.View full post »
Jenny and Donald recently got married in Edderton in the Highlands. They had planned to tie the knot in the garden where Jenny grew up. All morning it rained, a lot. About 20 minutes before the ceremony was due to begin, the rain stopped and the sun began to shine.
I feel I say this a lot, which is not a bad thing I guess, but it was an absolute pleasure to be in the company of such lovely folks and be a part of such an amazing wedding.
Here is a highlight of their wonderful day.View full post »
Last month I made the trip down to the Roxburghe Hotel near Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Eva and Angus had flown over from Hong Kong to tie the knot and I was delighted to be a part of their wonderful wedding day. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a lovely couple in one of the most beautiful venues I’ve been to. Here is a highlight of their day.View full post »
Amy & Lewis recently tied the knot at the lovely Bogbain Farm, just outside Inverness. I first met these folks last year when I was the photographer at Jill’s wedding (Amy’s sister) and it was so nice to see so many familiar faces again. Two of the nicest people you could wish to meet, along with some of the loveliest family and friends I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I felt more like a guest, than someone who was hard at work! I loved working with these guys so much and am really happy to share these photographs with you all. I hope you like them.View full post »
Rhianna and John made the trip up North to tie the knot at the wonderful Assynt House earlier this month. Two incredibly lovely people and so easy to work with. I don’t really know what else to say. This was one of my favourite weddings to be a part of. I hope the photographs speak for themselves.View full post »
